Established in 1982, Sandler is known nationwide for high-quality commercial printing, packaging/folding carton printing, personalized print products and lettershop services. A variety of print embellishment options add to the range of services offered. Sandler operates 3 sheetfed offset presses with a total of 32 printing and coating units in B1 (8-up) format and uses around 90,000 printing plates per year.

According to Kaodak, the Magnus Q800 Platesetter with T-Speed Plus is the fastest 8-up CTP system available on the market. At Sandler, two platesetters of this type will replace two Magnus Q800 systems from 2016. With a throughput of up to 84 plates per hour each, the new platesetters offer 40% higher productivity than the models currently in use. To ensure a continuous plate supply at this high speed over long periods without manual intervention, one of the new platesetters will be combined with a Multi-Pallet Loader (MPL) for two pallets with up to 1,500 plates each. A Single Pallet Loader (SPL) will feed plates to the other Magnus Q800. Once the new platesetters have been commissioned, the prepress processes and plate imaging will continue to be controlled via the Kodak Prinergy Workflow Platform.
