Dear Printmirror | Druckspiegel reader,
the news we have heard from major German printing manufacturers lately, while hiding behind an effort for a euphemistic-sounding headline of the press releases, usually spell disaster for shareholders and employees. We will have wait and see what this means for the future, when KBA admits a three-digit million loss – there are rumors of further plant closures. The good news come mainly from the supply side of digital printing manufacturers with interesting machinery installations. Just as the decision of Tagg Informatique for Xeikon's Trillium technology that is still in development, is evidence of a growing confidence in this industry and in the future prospects of digital printing techniques. Many of them are currently on display at Ipex in London. For a short video tour of IPEX click here! Roswitha Keppler Junius Publisher |
