Andreas Tietz Editor Der Druckspiegel / PrintMirror |
Dear reader,
Frank Romano went out on a limb: "The highest print quality that I have ever seen" proclaimed the American print guru about the new silver-based printing technology from Lume Jet. This will certainly be examined under a microscope at the Ipex coming up in London soon. The second interesting message of the week comes from Efi: The digital printing and software giant formed a strategic alliance with Landa and will provide workflow and RiP solutions for Landa’s nanographic printing presses. Another interesting alliance has been formed by Konica Minolta’s acquisition of a ten percent stake in French manufacturer MGI. One of the goals is the development of the next generation of digital printing systems. What else our industry is up to is in today’s newsletter below and for daily news, visit our Printmirror | Druckspiegel website. Sincerely, PS: Printmirror | Druckspiegel will be publishing its March issue in English. (Out on March 28th.) The magazine will focus on: Industrial Printing, web-to-print, crossmedia, mobil + co, 3D printing, and printed electronics. It will also have special section on INPRINT.
