Johann Sajdowski Editor-in-chief "Der Druckspiegel / PrintMirror" |
Dear reader,
remember: through desktop publishing everyone would be their own Gutenberg. Well, now thanks to "3D printing" everyone can become their own engineering company. (I put the term in quotes because it is actually not printing, but more of a coating technique.) Nevertheless: The 3D revolution is going around the world - at least according to the Fair Dusseldorf and the VDMA (German Engineering Federation), at the initiation of their brand "3D fab + print". And the Association is giving a symposium on Jan. 22 here in Frankfurt, Germany "Additive manufacturing processes and aspects of value", which promises to give a good overview of the current landscape of industrial "3D Printing". The euromold trade show currently being held here was very well visited and had almost a third of the exhibitors focused 3D printing. What "else" the printing industry expects from the new year you can find in our current issue. Below please find our selection of recent news. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, Your Printmirror | Druckspiegel team PS: In the new year we will be introducing more specialised newsletters on subjects such as 3D printing, large format printing and packaging (printing). Please sign up here! For our 2014 media information please send an email to jpf@druckspiegel.de. Thank you! |
