In view of the much lower sales volume than expected in both business segments due to economic and market developments, the press manufacturer's initial target of Group annual sales of approx. €1.3bn in 2013 will not be reached and management estimates revenue of approx. €1.1bn. › more |

Young Russian print firm receives KBA Rapida 105
Yaroslavl, part of the Golden Ring northeast of Moscow, is one of the oldest and best known cities in Russia. Located on the Volga it has a long tradition in the graphic arts industry. One of the youngest printing houses in Yaroslavl is Polygraph Print which up to now printed exercise books and writing pads predominantly on technology from local manufacturers. Commercial products were then added to the firm’s portfolio. A new Rapida 105 with five inking units and coater has been in operation in the company’s brand-new press room since September. › more |

Heidelberg increases profitability significantly – earnings target confirmed
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) significantly improved profitability in the second quarter of financial year 2013/2014 (July 1 to September 30, 2013). As expected, the operating result (EBITDA) in the second quarter was clearly above the previous year's figure. EBITDA for the first half of the year also improved considerably and was positive overall. Net financial debt fell slightly due to the positive free cash flow. › more |
